Ocean Medical International, a UK company and supplier of yacht medical kit & medical services, announces the opening of their new offices in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. Located at the Ft Lauderdale Marine Centre, the office is managed by Rebecca Castellano, formerly of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. Rebecca is an experienced ex-Nurse of more than 20 years and is well known in the Ft Lauderdale yacht industry. The US office broadens OMI’s international network with offices & agents already in Palma, Spain; Antibes, France; Amsterdam, Holland & Sydney, Australia.

Additionally, OMI announces a key partnership with ‘The First Call’, who are highly experienced in providing 24/7 emergency medical assistance and co-ordination to the maritime community. They are a major call centre located in a hospital with doctors and trauma surgeons on hand. OMI have negotiated exclusive rates with The First Call which represent significant cost saving to that provided by other vendors who provide a similar service.
